Positions:         TIG Welder
Location:          Aker Solutions, Stord, Norway
Start:                April/May 2025
Vacancies:       60+ new positions 
Duration:          36+ months estimated
Rotation:          14/21 (14 days working 12 hour shifts. 21 days off at home)
Work hours:     11,5 working hours per day (07:00-19:00). Totally 161 hours per rotation. 
Benefits:           Covered by Subshore: Travel to/from Norway, Housing in Norway, Meals in Norway.
Salary before tax:   
       NOK 344,32 per hour on night shift + holiday pay 12% (before tax)
       NOK 273,52 per hour on day shift + holiday pay 12% (before tax)
Salary after tax, including holiday pay:   
       EUR 22,05 average per hour day/night*
(*Based on PAYE tax scheme of 25% fixed tax, including 12% holiday pay and exchange rate per 25.03.2025)

Subshore is cooperating with Aker Solutions in this recruitment and job opportunity. Together we provide welders with a unique opportunity to both gain competence and valuable experience in a high quality environment. As an approved candidate you will be employed by Subshore.no AS in Norway, working for Aker Solutions at their yard in Stord on the Hugin A rig under construction for Aker BP. 

Qualification requirements for all positions:

• Experienced welder. 
• Relevant education, course or training. 
• Relevant industrial experience - preferably marine, shipping or oil/gas industry. 
• Welding certificate will be provided by Subshore in cooperation with Aker Solutions for those missing. 
• Certification for TIG welding on Super Duplex required, but may be provided by Subshore and Aker Solutions. 
• Language requirements:
  • We appreciate if you can communicate in English. 
  • But also candidates speaking only Lithuanian, Romanian or Polish may apply for job.

Health, safety and environment (HSE) at work:

We require of all personnel to follow Subshore`s and our client`s HSE rules at all times. One important part of HSE is the rule of zero tolerance of alcohol. There is a zero tolerance for keeping and use of alcohol at our work sites, including accommodation area. Also Subshore holds a zero alcohol policy during travel arranged by Subshore. This includes all transportation from airport in home country to Norway and back, and all transport in Norway. We require of all our employees to abide to these rules. Use and abuse of alcohol is the single biggest cause of incidents and accidents. We will not accept that anyone is harmed by violation of this rule. Therefore, we keep a strict focus on alcohol.
